Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts: 12-hour nights
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36/week (option for 48 upon request)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license (must be current)
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (submit proof with application)
  • 2 years of recent ICU experience required; 3 years preferred
  • At least 1 completed prior travel RN assignment
  • Proficient in NIHSS/dysphagia screening, advanced neuro assessment, Tele/EKG interpretation, ETT/vent management, titrating a variety of drips, and sepsis/post-resuscitation care protocols
  • Social, resilient, adaptability to change, and strong critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level ICU care to a patient mix of ICU and step-down acuity (ratios: ICU 2:1, step-down 3:1)
  • Float to step-down care as needed
  • Initiate and titrate vasoactive, sedative, and critical drips per protocol
  • Document thorough patient assessments and manage advanced monitoring
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary care teams
