Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active New York State RN License with all current RN licenses verified
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Travel nursing experience with documented travel assignments is required
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Valid drivers license reflecting local demographics
- Familiarity with NURSYS license verification system
- Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Must include Return to Office (RTO) availability upon submission
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients in a 64-bed unit, including 15 neuro specialty beds
- Manage critical care patients with diagnoses such as neuro conditions, cardiac events, trauma, respiratory issues (e.g., COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI), and post-operative cases
- Utilize specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap machines, and Neptune VapoVents
- Care for patients on chronic ventilators with Respiratory Therapy collaboration
- Work shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with flexible block scheduling; floating to other units as needed
- Adhere to navy blue scrub color requirements
Contract Details:
- Local candidates preferred (within 75 miles), with local pay rates applicable
- Contract assignment with opportunities to extend based on performance and availability
