A nursing opportunity is available for experienced RN-ICU professionals to provide critical care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population with neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions, including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, and post-operative cases. The position requires a strong ability to manage specialty equipment such as temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP machines, and chronic ventilators, working collaboratively with respiratory therapists.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a 64-bed IMCU, including 15 neuro-specific beds.
• Utilize skills in managing complex diagnoses and clinical equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including respiratory therapy staff.
• Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in floating assignments as needed within the unit.
• Work the scheduled 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts; block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current active Registered Nurse license in New York with all RN licenses verified.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in IMCU/Progressive Care Unit settings.
• Proven travel nursing experience is required.
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Valid drivers license with address matching demographic requirements.
• Availability for a 4/20 start date.
