This role is an excellent avenue for professional growth. You'll gain invaluable experience in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU, caring for patients facing conditions such as DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and those requiring ventilator support. Exposure to diverse patient cases, collaborative teams, and a variety of care protocols will help you expand your skills while working alongside accomplished healthcare leaders.
Schedule/Hours
- Night shifts: 7PM 7AM
- Full-time engagement
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call or floating expectations
Qualifications
- RN License (state of employment or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum one year of critical care nursing preferred (new graduates also considered)
- Ability to attend New Nurses Orientation and fulfill all competency assessments
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Accurately document all patient interactions, symptoms, interventions, and medications
- Address psychological, cultural, and social patient needs
- Educate patients and their families regarding care protocols
- Assign and delegate tasks in support of patient outcomes
- Continuously develop critical thinking and leadership abilities
