Exceptional opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in adult Intensive Care, particularly within a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting. This contract position is based in Boston, MA, offering dedicated professionals a dynamic environment in a Level III Trauma Center ICU.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for critically ill adult patients in a 20-bed MICU.
• Manage patient care for complex conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and substance abuse/overdose.
• Collaborate effectively with attending physicians and residents present around the clock.
• Provide competent care across rotating shifts, including nights and every other weekend coverage.
• Float as needed to Medical/Surgical units, managing up to 4-5 patients and adapting to different patient care demands.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:2 ICU or 1:4-5 on Med/Surg floors depending on acuity.

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• Minimum 2 years continuous experience in adult MICU nursing.
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Telemetry competency is essential.
• Able to accommodate flexible rotating shifts except night shifts which remain fixed.
