An intensive care nursing opportunity is available in Baytown, TX, for experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in critical care. This contract role is ideal for RNs who excel in managing complex patient needs and thrive in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license with ICU expertise
• Proficiency in medication titration and critical care competencies
• Experience with ventilator management and restraints
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Skills in CRRT, Impella, or IABP are a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill individuals in an 18-bed ICU unit
• Maintain patient safety through effective restraint management and monitoring
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators and titratable medications
• Adhere to unit policies, including weekend and on-call duties, while wearing the designated royal blue scrub attire

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible day and night shifts available, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1

Location Overview: Situated on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building, the ICU unit is equipped with state-of-the-art critical care technology in Texas City, near Baytown. This position may include floating to Emergency Department and Med Surg areas as needed.
