Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in an intensive care setting, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols. This role involves overseeing the activities of nursing staff, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and applying independent judgment and critical thinking to support patient recovery. The focus is on medical, non-surgical patients who have experienced shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions, requiring continuous monitoring and comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned group of ICU patients.
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Utilize critical thinking and professional discretion in monitoring and responding to patient conditions.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records according to established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in intensive care nursing (ICU), preferably with medical, non-surgical patients.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
