Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled RN to provide exceptional care in an Intensive Care Unit setting. This contract position involves working with critically ill patients who require acute, comprehensive monitoring and interventions due to shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions. Youll deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while overseeing and guiding various levels of support staff and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Minimum of one year of recent ICU experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent leadership, delegation, and supervisory skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-stress environment
  • Up-to-date BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Schedule:

  • Contract assignment (duration will be discussed during interview)
  • Specifics on scheduling and shift rotations provided upon application

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients using established protocols and the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, including delegation of appropriate tasks
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergent situations, using sound judgment and clinical expertise
  • Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately
  • Support patient and family education through clear communication and empathy
  • Maintain compliance with all regulations, policies, and ethical standards
