Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care (ICU). This contract position involves delivering coordinated care to patients requiring complex, intensive monitoring, including those experiencing shock, trauma, or other critical conditions. You'll apply your advanced clinical and leadership skills to oversee the care of assigned patients while supporting and guiding nursing staff within the unit.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position (specific shifts and hours to be discussed during the interview process)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Proven experience working in a high-acuity ICU setting
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to supervise and direct nursing staff effectively
  • Committed to upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse group of critically ill medical, non-surgical patients
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient progress throughout the care process
  • Act as a clinical resource and support to interdisciplinary teams
  • Supervise various levels of assigned nursing staff and ensure adherence to protocols
  • Exercise sound judgment and professional discretion in critical situations
  • Facilitate smooth and effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Participate in developing and updating patient care plans based on individual needs
