A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in ICU care to contribute in a leading Level 1 Trauma Center. This contract position offers a chance to utilize and expand your critical care skills while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Location: Arlington Heights, IL, known for its suburban charm, convenient access to Chicago, and abundant amenities including parks, restaurants, and excellent transportation options.

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.)
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• Up to 5 days off with no more than 2 consecutive days off
• No holiday or weekend requests off, and no requests off adjacent to holidays
• First week includes orientation and precepting on day shift

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in various critical care settings including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
• Float between ICU units as required to meet staffing and patient care needs, possibly assisting medical-surgical units within your scope
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner system
• Adhere to facility policies and deliver care that meets trauma center standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in ICU
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work night shifts and float across ICU units
• Locals within a 75-mile radius preferred; pending licenses are not accepted
• Navy blue scrub color required (not provided)
