Provide critical care expertise as an experienced RN-ICU at a leading medical center in Amherst, MA. This contract opportunity specializes in Medical Intensive Care and Neuro Critical Care units, serving patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, ESRD, AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure. As an ICU float nurse, you will rotate through Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units, supporting a 32-bed facility with patient-to-nurse ratios typically ranging from 1:2 to 1:1 depending on acuity.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience in a Level 1 ICU (2 years preferred)
• Strong preference for background in MICU settings
• Current certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Ability to handle high-acuity patients requiring specialized critical care
• Must reside outside of a 90-mile radius from the facility

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive critical nursing care to patients within Medical ICU and Neuro Critical Care units
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced interventions such as CRRT/CVVH
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float efficiently among the Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC to maintain staffing flexibility and coverage
