Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 7PM 7AM
  • Full-time position
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call or floating

Role Overview: As an RN in the ICU, you will provide top-tier care for patients experiencing a wide range of acute conditions, including DKA, respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilated cases. You'll manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients, ensuring focused, high-quality care. This environment rewards adaptability and initiative, and you'll gain valuable exposure to innovative treatment protocols and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certification from AHA (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year ICU or related critical care experience preferred (strong new graduates considered)
  • Commitment to ongoing education, including New Nurses Orientation and competency assessments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care using assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and manage treatments according to protocols
  • Address complex physiological, emotional, and cultural patient needs
  • Educate patients and families on care and resources
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely
