As a Registered Nurse providing home health care, youll expand your skill set while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a variety of home settings. Each patient presents unique challenges, empowering you to think critically and adapt your clinical approach. Working closely with physicians, home health aides, and licensed practical/vocational nurses, youll deepen your understanding of effective supervision and multidisciplinary care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel between patient homes within the area
  • Participation in periodic office meetings

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license (specific to the assigned state)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and liability insurance
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to address patient-specific needs
  • Comfortable with electronic charting and digital communication

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver home nursing care as directed by physicians and according to agency policies
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, documenting findings and interventions
  • Develop individualized care plans, revisiting and updating as patient needs evolve
  • Supervise and evaluate home health aides and LPNs/LVNs, ensuring care quality
  • Communicate promptly with physicians about changes in patient conditions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families
  • Participate in staff development programs and continuous learning
