As a traveling Registered Nurse specializing in Home Health, youll direct and coordinate patient care, applying the nursing process in dynamic and diverse home environments. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Home Health Aides as well as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, expanding your management experience. Your adaptability and compassion will be vital as you navigate various state-specific requirements and unique patient needs. Youll work closely with physicians, ensure detailed documentation, and uphold best practices that make a meaningful difference.

Schedule/Hours

  • Schedule based on patient needs and agency requirements.
  • Periodic office meetings.
  • Home visits within assigned coverage area.

Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse license for Maryland (multi-state compact license holders welcomed).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent nursing experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and required liability insurance.
  • Competence using computers for documentation and training.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-home patient assessments and create/revise care plans.
  • Direct and supervise Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses.
  • Provide skilled nursing services, specialized care, and health education to patients and families.
