Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality direct care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions
- Perform rapid and thorough patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on acuity
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, utilizing appropriate documentation
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, intervening promptly and effectively
- Educate patients and families on treatments and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records
- Adhere to strict infection control practices and uphold all safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in emergency room nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional certifications such as PALS or TNCC preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and familiarity with emergency care equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
