Provide critical care in a fast-paced emergency room setting as an RN specializing in ER nursing. This travel opportunity allows you to practice your skills at a well-equipped facility with a supportive environment. The hospital maintains a 30-bed capacity and provides comprehensive resources including 24-hour pharmacy and phlebotomy services, ensuring you have the tools needed to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in the emergency room, managing acute illnesses and injuries.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists and hospitalists to develop and implement care plans.
- Utilize the Pyxis medication system and Cerner documentation platform accurately.
- Participate in weekend coverage, working 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week cycle.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license with ER experience.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically Cerner.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work self-scheduled shifts without call or float requirements.
- Experience in environments with a 4:1 patient staffing ratio preferred.
