In this role, youll deliver coordinated, compassionate care for patients within established standards and utilize the full nursing process. Youll have direct oversight of nursing staff of varying experience and collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary teams. This assignment also involves responsibilities related to Float Pool education and non-productive hours management, allowing you to gain expertise in resource allocation and education for fellow nursesa unique aspect that distinguishes this opportunity.
Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment with flexible duration
- Hours in line with department needs
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of one year recent ER nursing experience
- Strong skills in critical thinking and independent judgment
- Proven ability to supervise and guide nursing support staff
- Proficiency in care coordination among multiple disciplines
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to a designated patient group in the Emergency Room
- Apply evidence-based clinical practices and the nursing process
- Supervise assigned nursing staff and foster professional development
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and ancillary departments
- Participate in Float Pool educational activities and track non-productive hours accordingly
