Job Description

Provide critical care and support to trauma and emergency patients of all ages in a fast-paced acute care environment. This travel nursing opportunity is based in Whittier, CA, at a well-established facility known for delivering high-quality emergency services. The role focuses on triage, treatment, and patient support within an emergency department designated as a trauma site.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive triage and immediate treatment of trauma and emergency patients.
  • Monitor patient condition and provide acute nursing interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure prompt, evidence-based care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including Moderate Sedation Training requirements.
  • Adhere to National Coverage Determination (NCI) mandates as required.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with valid credentials.
  • Experience in Emergency Room nursing with trauma patient care.
  • Moderate Sedation Training certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, urgent care setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • NCI certification or eligibility required.
