Job Description
Provide critical care as a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to work with advanced specialty equipment and gain experience managing complex cases such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Location: Whitesboro, NY
This region offers a blend of suburban and small-town charm, providing easy access to outdoor activities, local dining, and community events. Whitesboros proximity to larger cities balances a quieter lifestyle with convenient amenities.
Shift: 8:30 AM 9:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
Schedule flexibility and floating within the unit will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency patients across all age groups (newborn to geriatric)
- Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun for patient treatment
- Manage patients with critical diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Document care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
- Assist in unit coordination and charge duties as needed (charge capability highly preferred)
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a 64-bed unit covering acute, trauma, psychiatric, and observation care
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active NY RN license and all relevant RN licenses verified through NURSYS
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, including some pediatric experience
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- Valid drivers license matching the demographic address
- Documentation of prior travel nursing experience
- Ability to provide required Return to Office (RTO) documentation at submission
