Job Description
A registered nurse with Emergency Room expertise is needed for a contract role in Waynesboro, GA. This opportunity involves caring for a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics in a large, busy emergency department that handles high acuity cases including stroke and STEMI emergencies.
Key responsibilities will include delivering high-quality emergency nursing care in a non-trauma setting, utilizing your experience in managing rapid patient turnover and complex clinical situations. You will work within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 59-bed ER averaging 165-175 patients daily, supported by systems such as Epic and Pyxis.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years ER nursing experience (no first-time ER nurses)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS
- Stroke and STEMI certified preferred
- Proficient with Epic electronic health records system
- Ability to maintain compliance with clinical and operational protocols
- Comfortable working every other weekend and major holidays as required
Schedule:
- Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM)
