Schedule:

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week

Qualifications:

• Must reside at least 50 miles from assignment
• Valid RN license to practice in Washington, DC (or compact license)
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN strongly preferred
• NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Willingness to work as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room
• Comfortable with 1:5 nurse/patient ratios

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume ER, managing trauma, critical, pediatric, psych, and urgent care cases
• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based nursing while ensuring safety and quality
• Coordinate care for patients with complex needs, utilizing advanced critical care and trauma intervention skills (medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, chest tubes)
• Contribute to multidisciplinary care teams and support a positive patient experience in an emergency setting
