As a travel nurse specializing in the Emergency Department, youll sharpen your skills in an environment that thrives on quick thinking and teamwork. The ED here is a dynamic, fast-paced setting treating patients across the spectrum: from urgent care to trauma, psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care cases. By collaborating with experienced practitioners, youll be exposed to various workplace practices and leadership styles, boosting your resume and professional versatility.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts (day shift)
- 8-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Must reside at least 50 miles away from assignment location
- Active RN license to practice in DC
- Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience
- NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients with complex needs in a high-acuity ED
- Demonstrate critical care skillsmedication titration, arterial line management, chest tubes, and mass transfusion
- Treat diverse patient populations: urgent care, trauma, psychiatric, pediatric, and critical cases
- Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes while fostering a positive experience
