Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a wide range of patients, from urgent care needs to critical trauma and pediatric cases.
  • Serve as bedside trauma RN in the trauma room and manage 1:5 patient ratios.
  • Perform and manage complex critical care tasks, such as medication titrations, arterial line monitoring, blood transfusions, and chest tube maintenance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure patient safety.
  • Promote a positive patient experience and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license to practice in Washington, DC or eligibility by endorsement (must reside 50+ miles from DC).
  • Minimum 3 years of emergency department nursing experience.
  • NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certificationsall required.
  • Graduate from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly preferred.
  • Cerner EHR experience.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to fast-paced trauma settings.
