Youll work 3 x 12-hour night shifts over an 8-week period in an energized emergency department thats well-known for seeing a broad and complex patient population. This role is ideal for nurses passionate about emergency medicine and eager to sharpen their skills in a high-acuity environment. Your experience will grow as you collaborate with diverse teams, master advanced interventions like medication titration, and handle cases ranging from trauma to pediatric care. This assignment will broaden your resume while providing insight into varied workplace practices and leadership styles.

Schedule:

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts
• 8-week assignment

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the District of Columbia (or eligibility)
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• Minimum 1 year ER nursing experience required
• NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS & ACLS certifications required
• BSN highly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from Washington, DC

Responsibilities:

• Manage care for patients with urgent, psychiatric, pediatric, critical, and trauma needs
• Administer medications and manage critical care interventions such as arterial lines, chest tubes, and mass transfusions
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction
