Stepping into this Emergency Department role, you'll collaborate with skilled colleagues and encounter a diversity of medical scenarios. This travel assignment is designed for RNs ready to build their resumes with new skills and broaden their perspectives by adapting to fast-paced, high-acuity cases. Youll have opportunities for continuous growth as you work with diverse patient populationsfrom pediatric and urgent care to psychiatric, trauma, and critical care cases. Exposure to varied leadership styles and evidence-based practices will strengthen your capability and confidence as a nursing professional.
Schedule / Hours
- 8 week assignment
- 3 x 12-hour day shifts
- Must reside 50+ miles away from the facility
Qualifications
- Current RN license to practice in DC (or state Compact eligibility)
- Graduate of an accredited/NLN-approved RN program (BSN highly desired)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience
- Certification in NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLSall required
- Previous travel assignment experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a high-urgency environment
- Manage a variety of critical care procedures (medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, chest tubes)
- Care for a spectrum of cases: urgent care, pediatrics, psych, trauma, and medical emergencies
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety and promote a positive patient experience
