Emergency Room Registered Nurse Travel Opportunity
Location: Warner Robins, GA
A highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse is needed to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center teaching hospital. This travel assignment offers exposure to a wide range of emergency cases including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, motor vehicle collisions, hypertension, stabbings, and mental health crises. The unit includes 61 beds plus surge capacity with a dedicated team approach ensuring comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert nursing care in a Level 1 trauma emergency department with patient ratios typically at 1:4 (RN to patient).
- Manage drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed.
- Utilize EPIC EMR and advanced technology including Phillips monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips, and Alariso IV pumps.
- Collaborate closely with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists who are present 24/7.
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation program combining on-site and educational modules to support smooth integration.
- Work 12-hour shifts (7 AM7 PM or 7 PM7 AM) on a rotating schedule that includes approximately 5-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks and holiday shifts.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required. First-time travelers welcome.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS and TNCC certifications a plus.
- Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) competency required; passing EKG exam is part of compliance.
- National Certification in Emergency Nursing preferred but not mandatory.
- Expertise in level-1 trauma nursing and critical drug drip management.
