Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
  • Rotating weekends (5-6 shifts out of 12 per six-week cycle)
  • Holiday shifts required (one per major holiday)
  • Flexible and traveler-friendly scheduling policies

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (first-time travelers welcome)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
  • Basic Cardiac Rhythm knowledgemust pass EKG competency
  • National certification in Emergency Nursing preferred (not required)
  • Strong proficiency with Level 1 Trauma protocols, emergency medications, and advanced patient care skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality emergency care for a diverse population (chest pain, strokes, trauma, and more)
  • Manage patient ratios averaging 1:4 in a 61+ bed ED
  • Collaborate with supportive multidisciplinary teams, including 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage
  • Utilize advanced technologies: EPIC, Phillips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and unit-specific equipment
  • Partner with CNAs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Float within the Emergency Department as needed
