Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts:
- Day: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM (staffed with 5 RNs, 3 ED Techs)
- Night: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (staffed with 5 RNs, 3 ED Techs)
- 24/7 weekend coverage required
- No call requirement
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum one year of recent Emergency Room experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred
- Proficiency with Cerner FirstNet EMR (or willingness to learn)
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Great communication and adaptability for a fast-paced unit
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based care to emergency patients
- Respond quickly to urgent and emergent situations
- Collaborate with physicians, ED techs, and other team members
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently
- Support patient and family needs during high-stress encounters
- Adapt to varying patient volumes and acuity levels
