Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Orientation held Mondays
- On-call required: One shift per week
- Occasional weekend and holiday shifts as needed
Qualifications:
- Active KS or compact state RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- Minimum 3+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience (5+ years in large facilities preferred)
- Ability to rarely float to other units
- New graduates not accepted for this assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a dynamic emergency room environment
- Respond to critical care situations with speed and professionalism
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes
- Document patient conditions accurately and promptly
- Deliver exceptional support and patient education under pressure
