Job Description

A skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Room experience is needed to provide exceptional care at a Critical Access Hospital serving the Tabernash area. This position focuses on night shifts in the Emergency Department, covering Kremmling with additional support in Granby and Fraser, Colorado. The department operates as a Level IV Trauma Center, and preference is given to candidates with prior experience in Critical Access Hospital (CAH) settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care from admission to discharge in the Emergency Department.
  • Adhere to accepted clinical standards including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN).
  • Facilitate positive patient outcomes by applying clinical pathways and protocols.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Fulfill on-call duties and holiday coverage as part of the schedule.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Emergency Room nursing experience; Critical Access Hospital experience is highly preferred.
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), TNCC, ATLS, and CEN required or attainable.
  • Ability to work night shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week plus two call shifts.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a trauma-level environment.

Schedule:

  • Nights, three 12-hour shifts weekly
  • Two on-call shifts
  • Holiday and additional on-call coverage required
