A hospital in the scenic mountain region of Colorado seeks a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide expert care within a Critical Access Hospital setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your advanced emergency nursing skills in a trauma level IV environment, covering shifts at multiple locations including Kremmling, Granby, and Fraser.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department from patient admission through discharge
- Utilize standards and protocols including ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), TNCC, ATLS, and Certified Emergency Nursing practices
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement clinical pathways optimized for achieving positive patient outcomes
- Manage emergency cases efficiently during night shifts and on-call periods, including holidays
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong background in Emergency Nursing with trauma experience preferred
- Prior experience in Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) is highly desirable
- Certification in ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), and TNCC required; ATLS and CEN certifications preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and handle on-call responsibilities
Schedule:
- Nights, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus 2 call shifts
- Holiday shifts and on-call coverage required
