This high-acuity Emergency Department features 31 beds and serves a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatric adults. Youll tackle a wide variety of cases each day, from heart failure and trauma to behavioral health and post-transplant complications. Engaging in this fast-paced, collaborative unit is a unique chance to refine your skills as an Emergency Room RN, exchange best practices with experienced teams, observe different leadership styles, and deepen your expertise as an ER subject matter expert. In this environment, youll work alongside supportive management, charge nurses, ER providers, and specialty teams.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 0700-1900, 1100-2300, 1900-0700
  • Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend
  • Holiday rotation based on department needs
  • Flexible 6-week schedule cycles; advance notice provided

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
  • Strong IV, foley, and NG tube insertion skills; EMR (Cerner) proficiency preferred
  • Ability to lead by example in high-stress scenarios
  • Team player adaptable to patient and workflow changes
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Triage and deliver critical interventions for diverse emergencies
  • Manage a caseload of 4-5 patients per shift
  • Initiate drips, assist with procedures, and administer moderate sedation as needed
  • Act as a resource and mentor to staff, ensuring evidence-based care
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes

$1,790 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
