Expand your nursing resume and skillset while working in a modern 65-bed, pod-based emergency department that features dedicated spaces for pediatric and acute mental health care. Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift (36 hours/week)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units as needed
- Occasional day rotation (low frequency), but this night position does not rotate
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years of recent experience in emergency nursing
- Proficient in general ED nursing skills: patient assessment, documentation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) certifications required
- NRP & TNCC strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC ASAP EMR is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality emergency care for all populations
- Manage a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in a consistently active department averaging 230 visits daily
- Adapt to floating assignments and maintain communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in continued learning, best practices, and quality improvement
