Job Description

Provide skilled emergency nursing care as an RN in a 32-bed Emergency Department with a focus on patients across the lifespan. This contract position is located in Rossville, IN, offering a day shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours weekly, including every other weekend. This role requires advanced certifications and at least three years of experience, ideally with trauma care expertise.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS required; TNCC preferred
  • Comfortable managing trauma and medical patients of all ages
  • Strong teamwork skills and adherence to a professional dress code (navy scrubs)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to emergency patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting for acuity
  • Utilize advanced equipment, including Level I fluid warmers
  • Document patient care accurately using the Epic EMR system
  • Assist with patient assessments, interventions, and ongoing monitoring
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Complete required onboarding education modules before start date

Schedule:

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required
