Schedule & Hours
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage: Required to work 75% of holidays
- Time off (RTO): Up to 6 days off approved, excluding holidays (contract extension needed for excessive RTO)
Qualifications & Experience
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Strong general ED skillset (cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, ventilator management, chest tubes, IV starts, thrombolytic administration, conscious sedation, ESI assessment)
- Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors
- Flexibility to float between facilities within the designated region as needed
- Pediatric and adult patient care experience with conditions such as cardiac events, respiratory distress, and stroke
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to both pediatric and adult populations in a 16-bed Emergency Department
- Collaborate with a core team including CNAs, respiratory therapists, physicians, and hospitalists
- Respond swiftly and effectively to varied emergencies
- Maintain meticulous documentation using Epic
- Support patient flow and safety during peak times, including weekends and holidays
