Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position; flexibility required for floating between regional facilities
- Orientation: facility on-boarding and two days of departmental training
What Were Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Solid ED skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical drips, vent management, chest tubes, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, ESI triage
- EPIC documentation and experience with general med-surg, tele monitors, and Alaris IV pumps
- Willingness to float to nearby facilities within the region as needed; travel time mid-shift remains paid
- Adaptable team player with a commitment to high-quality patient care for diverse populations (including pediatrics and adults)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and holistic emergency nursing care to patients with varied acute conditions, including but not limited to cardiac events, respiratory distress, stroke, diabetic emergencies, and minor trauma
- Collaborate with a dedicated team: bedside CNAs, 24/7 Respiratory and Hospitalist support, and a proactive ED Physician Team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold best-practice safety standards
- Support rapid response protocols in a 16-bed advanced primary stroke center
