An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with strong Emergency Room experience. This contract role requires adaptability and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a dynamic ER setting.
Schedule details:
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) rotation
- Four weeks of night shifts followed by four weeks of day shifts, or vice versa, if rotation is needed
- Start date options: 4/6 or 4/20
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent ER nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent teamwork, with a compassionate and patient-focused mindset
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing rapid assessment and comprehensive nursing care for patients presenting with diverse urgent/critical needs
- Collaborating with physicians, ancillary staff, and other nurses to ensure timely, accurate triage and treatment
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patient conditions
- Administering medications and performing interventions as ordered
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation and adhering to hospital protocols
- Supporting families and patients through education and clear communication
- Ensuring a safe, clean environment and high standards of infection control
