As a traveling ER nurse, you will collaborate with experienced teams, gaining first-hand exposure to diverse workplace practices and a variety of leadership styles. This setting, with a 108-bed hospital and a robust emergency department, will broaden your expertise in patient care and help build a well-rounded, impressive resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift 1: 0700-1930 5 RNs, 3 ED Techs
- Shift 2: 1900-0730 5 RNs, 3 ED Techs
- 24/7 weekend coverage required
- No on-call shifts
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license, with experience in an Emergency Room environment
- Proficiency in Cerner FirstNet EMR system is a plus
- Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic patient volumes and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive triage, assessment, and care for acute patients
- Administer medications, monitor vitals, and respond swiftly to emergencies
- Document care accurately using Cerner FirstNet
- Promote best practices in patient safety and infection control
- Partner continuously with ED Techs, physicians, and support staff
