Job Description
An opportunity for a skilled RN with emergency room experience is available in the Porter, TX area. This travel position offers the chance to work in a dynamic 28-bed Emergency Department focused on acute patient care with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients with a typical 4:1 patient ratio.
- Perform critical procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitations, and EKGs.
- Collaborate closely with a team including charge nurses, techs, and unit secretaries on both day and night shifts.
- Use Meditech EMR system effectively to document and manage patient information.
- Maintain compliance with unit policies, including wearing royal blue scrubs and working scheduled weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with proven acute ER experience required.
- Certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS mandatory for this role.
- Preferred skills include experience in trauma care.
- Personality fit includes being active and personable to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- Weekend coverage requires 4 shifts per month.
- No on-call duties.
