Schedule:
- 7PM - 7AM
- Full-time hours
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call or floating expectations
As a Registered Nurse working nights in a very high-acuity ER, you'll encounter a diverse array of cases, including stroke, cardiovascular events, diabetes complications, wound care, behavioral health, sepsis, and occasional trauma. This dynamic environment will expand your clinical skill set, enhance your ability to respond to critical situations, and expose you to a range of workplace practices and team leadership styles.
Qualifications:
- Unrestricted RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- CPI Blue Card certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- 1 year of recent ER or closely related clinical experience preferred
- Commitment to completing all required orientation and competency verification
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, managing routine and complex needs independently
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Document all care, history, and interventions thoroughly
- Educate patients and families with empathy and accuracy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
