An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care to provide critical, patient-focused support in a fast-paced setting. This contract position is based in Pleasant View, TN, offering night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients using the Nursing Process.
  • Adhere to state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies in all patient care activities.
  • Apply critical thinking and scientific judgment to anticipate and plan for patient needs.
  • Supervise and delegate patient care duties to appropriate staff based on experience and education.
  • Maintain clinical competence and participate in ongoing education.
  • Utilize triage protocols effectively and manage medication administration, IVs, stroke, and sepsis protocols.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current RN license in Tennessee or a multistate compact license.
  • Minimum of one year of emergency nursing experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Proficient in using Cerner EMR system.
  • Ability to work night shifts and adhere to scheduling restrictions.

Additional Details:

  • Patient ratio: 1:4
  • Emergency Room size: 8 beds
  • Navy scrubs required
  • No on-call responsibilities or floating
  • Block scheduling allowed, maximum requested time off (RTO) is one week with no holiday time off requests
  • Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
