This opportunity places you in a high-acuity emergency department, ideal for enhancing your clinical expertise and growing professionally. You'll care for complex cases, including strokes, cardiovascular events, sepsis, diabetes complications, wounds, behavioral health emergencies, and some trauma. Working alongside a skilled team, youll be exposed to a mix of leadership approaches and progressive care protocols, accelerating your career development and broadening your rsum.
Schedule:
- Nights: 7PM - 7AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call or floating
Skills & Experience:
- Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (AHA-required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least one year of ER nursing experience preferred
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care using the full nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate
- Manage a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, providing routine and complex care independently
- Accurately document care, interventions, and patient progress
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring outcomes
- Educate patients and families, assess learning needs, and provide resources
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor colleagues
