This role provides a unique professional journey at a highly respected, nationally recognized, 607-bed teaching facility known for its cutting-edge care, transplant specialties, and association with the worlds premier neuro institute. You'll gain invaluable exposure to diverse leadership styles, innovative emergency medicine practices, and the complexities of a Level I Trauma Center. Schedule/Hours:
- Weekly orientations on Mondays (except holiday weeks)
- 13-week assignments required (no shorter contracts)
- Day and night shifts vary; parking arrangements differ by shift
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert, compassionate care to patients in a busy, Level I Emergency Department
- Respond to trauma and acute medical emergencies with poise and precision
- Support and mentor nursing students in a prominent teaching hospital
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and use Cerner EMR for charting
- Maintain compliance with hospital and onboarding protocols
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent core ER experience in a Level I Trauma/teaching facility
- Previous travel nursing experience in ED or Neuro ICU
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Ability to pass Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam (max 2 attempts)
- Must comply with personal appearance standards (natural hair colors; no facial piercings)
- Onboarding must be fully completed by deadline
- Not eligible if currently working or recently employed by this network (12-month rule)
