This travel nursing assignment places you in a busy emergency department within a regional health center, home to 217 licensed beds and a broad spectrum of specialized services. Here, youll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to various care models and leadership approaches, all while caring for a primarily adult population. Weekly orientations, flexible start dates (excluding Wednesdays), and housing assistance make your transition seamless, allowing you to focus on expanding your skills and enjoying meaningful downtime.
Schedule:
- Evening shifts: 7p7a
- Weekly hour guarantee: 36 or 48 hours (please state preference)
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with eligibility in Iowa
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- At least 12 years experience in an acute care setting, preferably with ER experience
- Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)
- Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions required)
- Negative 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)
- Recent titers: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB (within last 12 months)
- Previous travel nursing or experience in similar-sized facilities preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a primarily adult/geriatric population (patient ratios avg. 1:6)
- Handle high-volume ER operations (approx. 40 visits/day)
- Float as needed to support patient care throughout the unit
- Utilize MediTech EHR for all documentation
- Maintain professional standards, adhering to established dress codes
