Job Description

Provide critical care as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in a full-time role with three 12-hour shifts, including nights and mid shifts. This position requires availability for three weekends every four weeks, occasionally covering 1-2 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule, and holiday rotations as needed. No floating assignments are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments addressing patients physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs.
  • Review patient history and physical information, ensuring timely completion and collaboration with patients and families.
  • Evaluate diagnostic and laboratory data, promptly communicating abnormal results to physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement individualized care and discharge plans that reflect patient-specific needs and goals, with input from patients, families, and the care team.
  • Perform ongoing reassessments to monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure with at least 1 year of professional nursing experience.
  • Proficiency in emergency care nursing with strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and engage patients and families.
