Working in a 16-bed Emergency Department with a diverse patient population, youll treat both pediatric and adult cases, from cardiac emergencies to minor traumas and strokes. Dive into dynamic clinical experiences, broadening your expertise alongside seasoned healthcare professionals, varied leadership styles, and advanced technologies like Epic EMR and Phillips monitoring systems. This assignment is a great way to elevate your rsum and expand your practice through exposure to different protocols and patient populations.
Schedule and Hours:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend required
- No on-call
- Holiday requirement: 75% of holidays
- Up to 6 days off approved (excluding holidays; must extend contract to meet required hours)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience (first-time travelers not preferred, but considered)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred
- Proficiency in: cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, ventilator management, chest tubes, IV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, ESI assessments
- Comfort with floating to regional facilities as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical care to a variety of emergency patients (1:45 ratio based on acuity)
- Collaborate with CNAs, RTs, hospitalists, and ED physicians
- Utilize advanced technology and follow established protocols
- Participate in a supportive and well-structured orientation program
