This travel role will place you in a dynamic Emergency Department known for its fast-paced environment and wide variety of cases. Schedule/Hours:
- 3 x 12-hour day shifts
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and delivering nursing care to patients with complex needs, ensuring safety and a positive patient experience
- Serving as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room
- Managing a 1:5 patient ratio and treating a wide range of cases, from urgent care to trauma, psych, pediatric, and critical care
- Practicing advanced ED skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, and chest tube management
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to foster high-quality outcomes in intense clinical situations
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A current, valid RN license for DC or compact states
- At least 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Graduate from an NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred
- Cerner EMR proficiency
- Certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, ACLS (all required)
- Willingness to work in trauma care and adapt to variable patient needs
