Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic emergency room setting at a small critical access hospital located in Naalehu, HI. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills across emergency, acute, and long-term care areas in a supportive environment where RN versatility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in the emergency room while also supporting acute and long-term care units as needed
• Administer medications and perform procedures for acute and LTC patients when assigned outside the ER
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain documentation of patient status and interventions in compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii at the start of the assignment (applicants without an active Hawaii license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance)
• Minimum of two years emergency department nursing experience
• Proficient in medication administration and procedures relevant to acute and long-term care populations
• Ability to adapt to a small hospital environment with a broad scope of responsibilities

Schedule:

• Six 12-hour shifts over a two-week period (72 hours total)
• Every third weekend off, promoting work-life balance
• Arrival on the Thursday prior to start date is mandatory for employee health appointment on Friday; punctuality is critical

Additional Information:

• This is a small hospital with no segregated units; flexibility to cover various departments is required
• The facility is not latex-free
