Step into a fast-paced, dynamic emergency setting and make a real impact as a skilled registered nurse. Youll bring your expertise to a 22-bed Emergency Department that averages 85 patient visits daily and is supported by a strong, collaborative team. This contract opportunity is open to both experienced travel nurses and first-time travelers ready to embrace new challenges.
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible contract-based scheduling
- Floating may be required within the ER and occasionally to a nearby ER facility
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Emergency Department RN
- Current Georgia RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Basic Cardiac Rhythm recognition
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- TNCC and national emergency nursing certification are preferred
- Proficiency with drip management (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed)
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care for a variety of emergency cases, including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, trauma, and mental health crises
- Maintain optimal patient ratios (typically 1:34 depending on zone)
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertions; manage advanced equipment like cardiac telemetry, rapid infusers, and glucose monitoring devices
- Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, techs, and case management
- Participate fully in team huddles, rapid response events, and ongoing education
- Chart and document in EPIC EMR system
