This opportunity is for a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Room experience, based in Mentor, OH. The RN will provide safe, efficient, and age-specific nursing care using the nursing process to help patients and their families achieve and maintain optimal health. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and requires effective communication and collaboration to enhance clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care that addresses the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of patients in the emergency setting.
- Utilize technical skills and clinical equipment, such as stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices to provide safe and effective care.
- Implement and adhere to nursing protocols based on patient assessments and prescribed therapies.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to optimize care.
- Protect patient confidentiality by handling Protected Health Information (PHI) responsibly.
- Engage in continuous self-development and contribute positively to nursing practice standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be required depending on specific clinical needs.
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and emergency care best practices.
- Proficient in using a variety of clinical and monitoring equipment.
