Step into a dynamic Emergency Department with 43 ED beds and 20 boarding beds, consistently managing high-acuity cases that range from trauma to complex cardiac and neurologic emergencies. Youll sharpen your expertise, expand your resume, and enjoy meaningful adventures exploring the Carolinas on your days offall while benefitting from the professional challenge and fulfillment found only at renowned teaching hospitals.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (every other)
- No call required for travelers
- Required to work 75% of holidays
- Flexible RTO: Up to 6 days (excluding holidays), extendable as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years recent ER experience
- Background with trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies
- Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications
- Preferred: TNCC certification
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, administering critical care drips, conscious sedation, chest tube/NG tube management, blood/blood product administration
- Experience working with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitoring equipment
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based care in a fast-paced, acute environment
- Float between multiple facilities/units within the regional network as needed (paid for travel time during shifts)
- Monitor and manage varied patient conditions, prioritizing patient safety and outcomes
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members (charge RNs, hospitalists, RTs, social workers)
