A registered nurse with emergency room experience is needed to provide skilled care in an acute care setting in Marshall, TX. This contract opportunity offers a chance to advance clinical expertise while managing complex patient needs independently. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care aligned with professional standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least one year of ER or related nursing experience desired
- Current RN license valid in Texas or through the nursing compact
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS (all from AHA)
- Current TNCC certification
- Commitment to ongoing competency validation and orientation program participation
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Address diverse psychological, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for efficacy and side effects
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient documentation
- Educate patients and caregivers on health management and care plans
- Delegate tasks and manage clinical situations effectively
- Comply with organizational competency and entry validation requirements
Work Schedule:
- Night shifts, 8 PM to 8 AM
- 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
